To maintain the playback fidelity of your mono record, you really need to use a stylus designed for mono records. The2.0 mil stylus is the standard for mono records. For a worn record, you will need to use an oversize stylus to obtain the best sound quality. The 2.0 mil stylus will then trace the grooves properly and will not slide side to side at the bottom.
