The LP Gear improved stylus for the Philco Louver Turntable Model 841.164 features a highly polished conical diamond tip bonded to a cantilever for a firmer grip on record grooves. It results in finer detail and clarity. It also has an expected life of 500+ playing hours, which is about 10 times longer than styli with sapphire or ruby tips. The color of the stylus varies.
